Who is Diner?
Diner Guitars was founded by Vic and Christian with one simple belief: a great guitar should make you want to play.
Christian caught the bug while working alongside the legendary Randy Bachman. After decades in studios and on stages as an audio engineer, he developed a deep obsession with tone — not just how a guitar looks, but how it sits, how it breathes, how it feels in a mix. His passion is building instruments that sound inspiring and look unforgettable.
Vic’s roots run deep in the craft. He got his start at the legendary Steve’s Music in Montreal and has since built, repaired, and modified tens of thousands of instruments. There isn’t much he hasn’t seen — or improved. His hands bring the experience. His standards bring the precision.
In 2018, they set out to build the kind of guitar they felt was missing: one with nostalgic soul, timeless vibe, and tone that’s smooth, rich, and musical. Diner’s proprietary pickup circuit gently tames the harsh frequencies common in many modern pickups, delivering clarity without brittleness.
Every Diner Guitar is built inch by inch in Canada, using Canadian wood and trusted local suppliers. No shortcuts. No compromise.
2026 finds us busier than ever — doing what we love: building guitars that make you want to plug in and never stop playing.
